    - European Federation of Immunological Societies and IL – Immunology Letters provides short-term (up to 3 months) fellowships for the purpose of scientific collaboration, advanced training or employing techniques not available at the current place of work. Candidates must be a member of an EFIS constituent Society (i.e. the Immunological Society of the applicant's country). Please note that you cannot become a member directly of EFIS but only through membership in the respective national Society. The Board of EFIS exceptionally also considers application from European scientists going to laboratories outside of Europe, if such facilities/expertise are not available in Europe. Short-Term Fellowships are not awarded for attendance at courses, symposia, meetings or congresses.

    - No grant will be given by efis-IL to the institute receiving the Fellow to cover research costs or bench fees.
    - efis accepts no liability for their actions and activities, or for their health and safety.
    - efis is a non-governmental organisation and its Fellowships are not automatically endowed with any tax privileges. It is the responsibility of the recipient to pay any taxes levied by a national authority.
The allowance will be reviewed and adjusted annually in consultation with the efis Treasurer (EUR 1500 per month in 2007).
