During a meeting held in Amsterdam in September 1975, the following Society was founded: European Federation of Immunological Societies (EFIS). This society was then an activity of IUIS so, at that moment, the legal body was IUIS.
During a meeting held in Helsinki in 1991, it was decided to incorporate the Articles in a notarial deed and that they, the persons appearing, had been designated to effect the actions necessary therefore.
The 5th of April 1995, EFIS was registred as an individual legal body in the form of a society as was stated in the deed of Notary Oosterdijk.
