EFIS-EJI Travel Grants for ECI 2018


Notice to applicants for EFIS-EJI-ACTERIA Travel Grants for ECI 2018: if after completing the application submission process the system notifies you that "An error occured. Thanks to the continuing collaboration of its Official Journal, the European Journal of Immunology and to the generous contribution of the Fondation ACTERIA - EFIS will be awarding up to 250 Travel Grants at the value of EURO 600 each to young post-docs and PhD-students under 35 years of age requesting financial support to attend the 5th European Congress of Immunology - ECI 2018 - to be held September 2 - 5, 2018 in Amsterdam.

To be eligible for a grant, the applicant must be:

   - under 35 years of age,
   - the first or presenting author of an abstract submitted to ECI 2018,
   - a member of an EFIS member society.

To apply, please first submit an abstract via the online abstract submission system on the ECI 2018 website and then return here to submit your abstract submission receipt, your CV and proof of membership with an EFIS member society (accepted formats: .doc and .pdf). Please note that the server connection for the transfer of your data is SSL encrypted for your security.

Successful applicants will be notified of their award by June 15, 2018. Please note that grants will be paid by bank transfer after ECI 2018 has taken place: in no cases will advance payments be made. In order to claim their award, grant holders will be required to confirm their attendance and their full bank details during the congress c/o the EFIS booth in the ECI Immunology Village. Please also note that only one grant will be allocated per author, and that grants cannot be accumulated or transferred.

All successful applicants will be selected based on compliance with the above eligibility criteria, the quality of abstract (scored in a blind reviewing process overseen by Workshop Chairpersons), demographic equality and age.
