About

The European Federation of Immunological Societies (EFIS) is a non-profit organisation uniting 36 national immunology societies from Europe, Eurasia, and the Middle East.

Members of EFIS-affiliated societies are automatically considered members of EFIS and can take advantage of its programmes. EFIS connects nearly 14,000 researchers and clinicians working in immunology, allergology and related fields.

The main goals of EFIS are to support immunological research and education, as well as to strengthen scientific interaction amongst its members. Together with its partner official journals, the European Journal of Immunology and Immunology Letters, EFIS focuses especially on supporting early-career researchers, e.g., through fellowships and travel grants to high-calibre immunology-related meetings held in Europe.
