The 2023 EFIS-EJI Ita Askonas Award
On the recommendation of its Gender & Diversity Task Force, EFIS is delighted to announce the recipients of the 2023 EFIS-EJI Ita Askonas Award: Dr Muzlifah Haniffa of the Wellcome Sanger Institute, Cambridge and the University of Newcastle (UK), and Dr Charlotte Scott of the VIB-UGent Center for Inflammation Research (BE), will share the 2023 prize in recognition of female group leaders with an outstanding track record of achievements in immunology research. Dr Haniffa's and Dr Scott's awards will be formally conferred during the EFIS Awards Symposium at ECI 2024 this coming September in Dublin. EFIS extends its congratulations to both!
