EFIS-Biolegend Young Investigator Award


The award was established by the European Federation of Immunological Societies (EFIS) with financial support from Biolegend to recognize the best young group leaders in European immunology. The BioLegend/EFIS Young Investigator Award in Immunology was awarded on the occasion of the European Congress of Immunology (ECI) 2012 in Glasgow 


This prize consisted of a € 7,500 cash award plus invitation and support to attend the ECI 2012 in Glasgow. The laureate presented her work at the ECI.

EFIS – Schering-Plough European Immunology Prize

 

The prize (€ 50,000 cash award) was awarded in conjunction with the European Congress of Immunology (ECI). It was established by the European Federation of Immunological Societies (EFIS) with financial support from Schering-Plough. We intended to recognize individuals or a group of individuals who have made an outstanding discovery related to immune processes in human disease pathogenesis, prevention and therapy. It consisted of a € 50,000 cash award plus travel support to attend the European Congress of Immunology. The laureates presented their work at the ECI during the award ceremony during the opening session.

 

- The first laureate was Alberto Mantovani, University of Milan (Italy), awarded at the ECI 2006 in Paris

- The second laureate was Michael Reth, University of Freiburg (Germany), awarded at the ECI 2009 in Berlin
